Well for starters, how much CPU cores and RAM did you assign to the virtual
machine?

And second, how are you attempting to change the screen resolution?

Heloo and welcome to the forums.

Can you please allways tell which version of openSUSE you uuse. And not in some relative or hidden expression like “latest one”, but simply what it is. “Latest one” will be the same as
“unknown” when your thread is read a year from now by someone who searches for an answer using Google or another search engine.

hi again
am using opensuse 13.1 kde i have assigned 6 cores and 6gb to the opensuse vm i have another vm but its windows 8 and i gave it the same V hardware and it work fine but with opensuse i don’t know why do i need to install a driver.
i try to change the screen resolution from the system siting but now my main problem is the slowness i have updated booth the host and the guest.

For the issues you describe,
Typically support for those changes are provided by installing Guest Extensions (or whatever the technology calls it)
