openSUSE general survey

This Survey is about openSUSE in general.
The survey will be online until 28th February 2010 and the results will be published on openSUSE.org.
Answering the questions will take about ten minutes.
Amongst all participants we will raffle 20 openSUSE T-Shirts, 5 openSUSE 11.2 boxes and one really cool thing which is yet to be defined. Most likely a “Chumby”](http://www.chumby.com/).
To enter the raffle please enter your email adress at the end of the page. The email adress will be only used for the raffle and nothing else.
Thank you!

openSUSE News » openSUSE Survey 2010 – Participate now

Something’s wrong ith news blog. Each time I try to comment, I get error message, that I entered wrong captcha…

It did that to me too, but I think it is case sensitive. I eventually got in.

I’m in. I watch the postoffice for my T shirt. Thanks.

I went for the answers that give the Chumby !!

I’m gonna ask something out of the scope of this topic.
What software does monkeysurvey use? Is it proprietary or open source based/forked, etc?

Anyone knows if there exists LGPL/GPL software to perform such surveys? I ask this in the scope of GNOME, as I am a contributor for their Marketing Team and this would be a great help for us.

Thanks in advance.

Chumby? Never heard of it until I checked out the link. How can you go “for the answers that give the Chumby”?

I just answered all of the questions. I didn’t expect it to take me 10 minutes, but I know it took me a long time because I had a lot to type

Hope my answers help!

Perhaps in the survey should be less of the “Yes/No”-choices. I made one wiki-edit and a few couple of posts to help others in this forum, so I needed to choose “participating in forums and wiki”, but I would choose the “very few” choice if there were some.

The same goes for application development. I’m in the embedded part, so I am mostly developing devices and write the firmware for those, and just very few simple (more or less…) utilities with eventually a gui on top.

You could get more information with providing more “no…less…more” choices these categories.

i’ve been asking around and so far i have been completely unable to
find one single person who claims to have received any of those prizes…

and, i’ve asked several different times for the winners list to be
released and so far learned nothing…

anyone else care?

Wow, I have totally forgotten about this.

I think it would be a good idea to list the winners on multiple levels.

I’ll bring it up with Rupert.

Just wondering - Where would one buy openSUSE merchandise such as t-shirts and caps?

In the lower right corner of the openSUSE website there are 2 links, depending on whether you are in the USA or Europe and Asia.

Just as a followup.
I have been researching this, and I do have some information, but I am just not ready to post it yet since I don’t have all the facts. Once I do, Then I will fill you all in on all the details.
