Dual boot PC with openSuse 11.0, screen and computer freezes after about 90 seconds after full boot. Complete reinstallation, same problem. Never had any problem with previous version 10.4
Cause: probably I used a corrupt installation disk.
Problem: after reinstallation, with good installation disk, still old settings on other partition?
Answer: remove settings from other partition and full reinstallation, but how?
Opensuse has a option called expert or customize for the place where you like to install or reinstall
In this case you decide on with partition the installation should occur.
This partitions will be formatted so very thing written on this partition will be lost

If you are dual booting. you could go into Windows and delete the Linux partitions from there. If you go to Control Panel / Administrative Tool/ Computer Management / Disk Management, you’ll see the Linux partitions displayed.
Are you sure you don’t have a bad stick of RAM? It would not hurt to boot from your Open Suse install disc and choose the option “Check Memory” and run Memtest for one cycle.
