the last three threads that I’ve started are not showing up when I do search for me, vinoman2.
why is this happening? why isn’t there a link on the site to view your threads like most other forums I use?

What were the 3 threads about? I see a google earth one, a msttcorefonts
one and a nvidia drivers one.
As for viewing your own posts, you can either use the advanced search
function and search by your user name or go to your name through the
members list and click show all posts.
when I find myself in members I don’t see any “show all posts” option.
so the only way I can find my posts is to do a search for vinoman2.
This forum should have a “view your posts” link.
also: why do we get logged out after ten minutes? I have to keep on logging in all the time!
This is a friendly forum that needs some adjustments to make it more usable. 
if you go to your profile, click the small arrow thing, view statistics>all posts by… and click which post you want, it’ll take you to the thread.
the logging out/in thing has only started recently, it’s starting to annoy me 
We’re quite unhappy about the iChain issue with random session termination as well. We’ve obviously got some work to do regarding the availability of Novell support resources on weekends.

I don’t have a profile link anywhere in my control panel. where is it?
I still have threads that I created that are not listed with the rest of the threads that I’ve created.
Click on user control panel.
And on the right side towards the top click on.
“View all Subscribed Threads”

ok, i’m trying to figure out the web side some…and i try to follow
your advice above…
first problem i run into is i’d don’t see a “your profile” link to click
on…so, i go searching for it and eventually find it on the page
reached by first clicking “User Control Panel”…
so, i click on “Your profile” then look around for “the small arrow
thing” and now know why you call it that, since it has no label!! [maybe
someone should add a label, or at least make it look like a button to
click!!] and now i see the full path to finding all of one’s postings is:
User Control Panel > Your profile > Arrow thing > Statistics > Find all
posts by [your name]
that would be something real nice and helpful to add to the FAQ, it
could be the the result of someone searching on (for example) “find my
posts” or “find my messages”…

I did that, but I have no subscribed threads. Why should I subscribe to threads that I write?
I’ll just have to do I search for my name until this forum creates a “view my threads” link for users.

If you go into User Control Panel -> Edit Options you can change your
default subcription options. By default it is set to not subscribe.
As for view all threads, go to User Control Panel -> Your Profile and on
the right hand side click on Show All Statistics. This should open up a box
so you can view all posts or view all threads created by yourself.
I don’t subscribe to threads! I just want to see if anyone has answered my threads. Until this forum puts a “view your threads”
link on the front page, I’ll just do search for my username. its the only way I can find them.
