openSUSE for raspberry pi with kodi

Hi,

Anyone using openSUSE on raspberry pi ?
Is Kodi available there ?
How is your experience ?

If not openSUSE is Raspbian the way to go there ?

Thank you in advance for help.

Really nobody is using raspberry pi as a set top box ?
Or am I posting this in a wrong forum ?

I would imagine that 99% of people running a full linux os on their raspberry pi will be running raspbian.
I’m running OSMC which is built on raspbian on a raspberry pi 2B and it runs very nicely.

Cool thanks a lot for the reply. I installed raspbian on mine from the pi website. It runs really nice and kodi is really simple to install and runs nice. The only problem I had with the names of the codecs I needed to install and I’m still not 100% which of them were exactly needed  Having said that all video and audio files I have decode nicely now so I’m satisfied.

The most commonly purchased codecs are for mpeg2 (DVD playback)
I’ve never bought any codecs in the several years I have been using a raspberry pi - and I use mine solely as a media centre.
