As a ‘hobby’ translator, and realizing that software cannot yet read minds
via text as a medium - I have to say: This is precisely what you have to
expect!

There’s unpolished translation software, and then there’s translation software which reads “Da Wikipedia, l’enciclopedia libera” as “from OpenSUSE”…
Hovering over it, it seems that it takes user input I imagine someone has told Google translate that
Da Wikipedia, l’enciclopedia libera = from openSUSE
It only seems to happen with Italian to English, feed it the correct translation I suspect it’ll change. Though it may be done on a majority so may take a few people giving it the correct translation before it takes.

Cute (for those that missed it… at the top under the
article title, it translates to a link saying ‘from openSUSE’)…
and that’s NOT what it says in Italian.
Oh, yes - I see! But we should suspect that part is probably not part of the
translation, but a sub-heading pertaining to the wiki, in view of the
translation probably being processed for the (questionable) benefit of the
Italian speaking!
Whatever has been translated, though, seems to be treated with extreme
superficial-ness! I am aware that Italian is a rather ‘efficient’ language
( much can be expressed in short terms) but not that efficient, surely?

i often translate texts with software from english to italian and from italian to english and often there are errors everywhere, italian it’s a very complicate language(especially when there are technical themes or slang) ,sometimes it’s shorter if you translate a whole page writing it instead of correcting the software translation…
