openSUSE Boot error

Hi,
I have installed opensuse 11.1 in my machine and everything goes fine. When I restarted my machine once, I am keep getting the error
There is a problem with the configuration server.
(/user/lib/GConf/2/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)

And its never allowing me to see the desktop. After getting error, its asking me to login(before this error, there was no login auth). After login, again facing same error and I was only allowed to choose either ‘shutdown’ or ‘restart’. As to fix this, I put my opensuse into drive and tried option ‘Repair installed system(automatic repair as well as custom repair)’
but still no success. It took my most of the day and I got fed up with no success. Its never allowing me to see the desktop. Can anybody please help me in fixing this problem? Do I need to do/select any specific things during the process of repair installed system?
