Did you set your default skin in the User Control Panel?

At first it was using the default skin and I tried to login using the basic skin and it threw me out, then I tried setting to the green skin and using the basic I tried to login and the same thing happened, finally I set it to basic skin and login, still no joy. The only way I can log in is using the default and green skin.
Hope someone can try and post their experience.
Everyone logs in with the default skin. As soon as you authenticate, the skin you set in your user control panel (not the skin chooser at the bottom of the page, which is for that session only) will kick in.
Keith,
Ok I got it, we can only login using the default and green which is what I am using right now. The question is why can’t the basic skin can’t have this feature? The prompt to login is there but not functional on my side or perhaps to everyone If I am following your line correctly. The login prompt for the basic should not be use or be omitted to not make the user wonder, just my view.
Thanks,
conram

I’m suspecting it’s a glitch in that skin, which isn’t really a
production skin ATM. Any “login” button or link should take you through
the default login process, which uses the default theme (and only theme
for that part of login). Only the actual forums view is part of
vBulletin; the rest of the login process is handled by iChain.
