Opensuse 42.2 configuring usb audio interface for use with Audacity

I just installed OpenSuse 42.2 and everything is working nicely, except my Presonus Audiobox USB audio interface is not available as a input device in Audacity. I looked at the sound settings, but there isn’t much there, How should i add it so that it is among the choices for recording audio? Thanks for any tips, I haven’t been using Suse for a long time (since 9.2!) but am glad to be back!

(I gave up on the other distribution because of problems with blue-tooth not working and slow wireless Internet that I could not fix.)

Try

Install pavucontrol and see if it shows up there. Pavucontroll allows pairing of input and output devices to and from a running app

Thanks! I’ll give that a try.

Update*
I had a look at YAST hardware module and saw the Audiobox interface listed, (twice for some reason) then I installed Pavucontrol but didn’t run it, when I opened Audacity the Audiobox was available in the input section. Not sure if simply installing Pavucontrol helped, or forcing YAST hardware module to look at everything worked, but bottom line it works! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply!
