Hello,
We run a 15.0 mirror for use solely within our own department. It rsyncs with one of two other public Canadian mirrors: dalhousie or waterloo.
Recently, we have found that after an rsync, repomd.xml contains an entry for a missing file in the same directory: the longhexnumber-deltainfo.xml.gz file.
We also run a 15.1 mirror. However, the issue seems to be limited to 15.0 and not 15.1.
Here’s the rsync command we run once a day:
#nohup rsync -rvlptz --delete --max-delete=20000 mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca::opensuse/update/leap/15.0/ opensuse/update/leap/15.0 < /dev/ null >> $_log 2>&1
The log listing for today’s run appears below my signature. You can see that oss/repodata/ef0a30f608c2bd4ce46c905227c06c8a23c7e8372c686391c9446123fbb4ba7c-deltainfo.xml.gz is deleted, but a new one is not provided. While a new repomd.xml is provided, there is an entry inside for the missing deltainfo.xml.gz file.
This has started happening within the last week or so. Sometimes, I can manually run the rsync against against either the other Canadian mirror or the openSuSE mirror and the problem resolves itself. Sometime, not.
The problem manifests itself when one of our openSuSE 15.0 users tries to use the zypper command, to say, list all available updates:

The error references the missing deltainfo.xml.gz file.
Was wondering if someone can provide me with an understanding of why this is happening and how to resolve it. Up to a week or so ago, this problem was not occurring.
