opensuse 13.3 - KDE full download

I have opensuse 13.2 I usually download the full version, format the drive, and install opensuse every year. I heard about the new version (13.3?). I read about something called tumbleweed. No mention of opensuse v13.3

I have a DSL connection at home. So, It takes too long to download. I usually download at high speed public locations and burn the dvd later(4.5gig). No installer programs or a file that downloads other files are allowed on these computers.

Is Tumbleweed the full download dvd installer?

Thanks.

There is no openSUSE 13.3, and there probably never will be one.

The latest version is called Leap 42.1, it contains some base packages from the commercial SLE 12 distribution, but is otherwise similar to any other openSUSE release before. I.e. it is a stable, frozen release, and you get (only) security and bugfix updates via an additional update repo.

As the way the release is being created has changed significantly (it is based on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 in parts), they decided to use a new name and versioning scheme. 42.1 means that it is based on SLE 12, Service Pack 1. 42.2 will be based on SLE 12, Service Pack 2, and 43.x will be based on SLE 13.

Tumbleweed is the rolling distribution. It is constantly changing, you get new packages every other day.
There is an installation DVD too, but a new one is “released” nearly every day. If you installed it once, you only need to download/update the packages that actually have changed though.
But probably not what you are looking for…

A full dvd is available, after that I can update it using the software update. Thanks for the info.
