opensuse 13.2 update libselinux.so.1 kernel panic

Hi,

I have a problem booting to upgraded opensuse 13.2 (from 13.1) Tumbleweed repo. Error is

Error loading shared libraries. Libselinux.so.1 cannot open shared object file. No such file or directory.
Cpu 5 PID 1 comm init not tainted

Thanx in advance

Have you tried downloading the 13.2 ISO and reinstalling? You can write the ISO to a USB flash drive with this command:

# umount /dev/sdX
# dd if=/path/to/downloaded.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

Be sure that “X” is the letter designating your USB flash drive, not your hard drive.

If it were me, I would reinstall and then add the tumbleweed repo once I was back up and running. Did you upgrade a machine with 13.1 already on it or was this a clean install?

Hi, it was a upgrade from 13.1 Sure i can do a new install or repair from an iso but nevertheless this is a strange error (to me) . Will try with a repair though…

Just to write a final note - did a new instalation… And I’m not happy with time I spent re-configuring everything back. I do have a backup, but setting stuff on new system to work as on old system… good luck to myself

Did you keep home? ie set it NOT to be formatted? That save a bunch of settups
