How was that upgrade done?

Looks like it is also trying to mount an NFS share from another machine
and it is not responding.

Upgrade is done by openSUSE dvd.
There are no nfs shares from other machines. Nothing has changed after booting NFS works fine.
My main desktop also serves NFS to the home network. Startup time (to KDE login prompt) is slower than it was with 12.3. But it is still under 1 minute.
During boot I get the message:
A start job is running for LSB: NFS client services (2min 40s / 6min 50s)
The 2min40s is counting untill it reached 6min50s then I see failed running for LSB.
What happens if you run “rcnfs stop” followed by “rcnfs start” after boot? Does it still take the same time?
What “systemctl status rpcbind.socket rpcbind.service” says?
“rcnfs stop” followed by “rcnfs start” after boot still takes the same time.
systemctl status rpcbind.socket rpcbind.service :
linux-nfs:/home/anton # systemctl status rpcbind.socket rpcbind.service
rpcbind.socket - RPCbind Server Activation Socket
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/rpcbind.socket; enabled)

└─467 /sbin/rpcbind -w -f
If you run
SYSTEMD_NO_WRAP=1 rcnfs start
does it still happen?
makes no difference.
For the moment I stopped NFS Client service with yast - service manager
And after boot start manually : /etc/init.d/nfs start
so I do not have to wait 6 during boot.
Then I would suggest adding “set -x” to the top of /etc/init.d/nfs and try to start it; then look with journalctl for output with timestamps to find out where it spends the time.

Please expand. I assume you booted the DVD, then choose upgrade existing
system? I ask because many people say they upgrade but what they did was
install fresh a new system in the same disk.

Yet you just said you stopped nfs Client services. This does not match
with the above.
Please explain.

Client? So you do have shares from other systems. I asked about that,
and you said “no”.
Please post your entire fstab file, inside a code tags block.

I upgraded from DVD .
I stopped LSB: nfs client services.
nfs client services is needed to get access to NFS.

That’s not expanding the information at all…

Thread can be closed I have made a bugzilla topic.
You could tell bugzilla number, someone may be interested in following it.

That’s easy: Bug 936321
And the bugzilla contains the info that I requested and he refused and
denied:
inux-nfs:/home/anton # grep nfs /etc/fstab
linux-nfs:/exports/renderfarm/ /mnt nfs rw 0 0
linux-nfs:/exports/renderfarm /home/anton/NFS nfs defaults 0 0
linux-nfs:/home/anton #

The “you” (made bold above), is anton, not robin_listas.

I know that very well.
But finding what bugzilla was created by a forum participant is very
easy, and I found it, so that we can all see the bugzilla and comment if
we want.
