[OpenSUSE 13.2] Civilization V on radeon drivers doesn't works

I have read: “Civilization 5 works on radeon drivers”, but not on my system. Below I posted information about my graphics card:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Park [Mobility Radeon HD 5430/5450/5470]

The problem is: no background is displayed during loading and word map is drawn incorrectly

I don’t install fglrx, because:
a) There’s no driver for X.org 1.16
b) Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines don’t works on closed source drivers

Is there a way to make Cvilization V working on my graphic card with radeon driver?

If you have old GPU then not much you can do. Get a new video card maybe. Christmas is not too far away

Ok. Thanks. I have nothing about hardware trends.

Hi Lachu,
Did you tried installing and running Civilization V with PlayOnLinux? I’m not an expert, but try openGL support, changing renderer and video memory size. It helped me with Civilization 4. Also, check WineHQ site, it has a huge database of games/applications with very useful information about how to setup them in Wine.
