Suddenly from one day to another my Opensuse 13.1 - Gnome doesn`t boot anymore properly. It will start in the “Bottle” - Kernel mode. (tty1 only)
This happens with Kernel 3.11.10.21 as well as with 3.11.10.17. Otherwise it ends up with a screen with http://i.imgur.com/RevtyQpl.jpg
This happened after a routine update, though I just accepted without attntion, so I don’t know what was that and whether it is connected to the issue.
Please Help me to fix this.

Search for the "O no. Something has gone wrong " message here on the forums. There are several threads about it.
It’s a graphics issue . I assume you have NVIDIA card/chip and you use the NVIDIA driver? There was a NVIDA update and maybe it did not do right.
NVIDA driver modes the mesa program and thus no fall back driver works. As suggested there are several threads about it
Thank You I could find the relevant threads, indeed an amd driver problem, now I am to fix it, for I can only use the recovery mode.
