Hello all, I seem to have a very strange problem. When I turned on my monitor this morning, I realized my “Application Launcher Menu” and the panel it was embedded in had disappeared. I added a panel and an “Application Launcher Menu” widget, placing it on the bottom of the screen where I prefer it. I then noticed an OpenSuSE lizard icon floating in the top left corner of my desktop. I grabbed it and dragged it down lower - this was of course another “Application Launcher Menu” button. I then noticed another one in the same place, under that one there was another, and another, and another! There were a total of six “Application Launcher Menu” buttons up there. Unfortunately, the original panel, with all of my widgets is not to be found.
My guess is that my cat got up on the desk and went to sleep on the keyboard and I had forgotten to lock the screen. It’s always something! I don’t think it’ll be to hard to recreate my panel with all the widgets I like, but for the future, what hidden folder/file(s) in my home directory contains this info so I can just restore it from backup? Unfortunately, I haven’t done a home directory backup since moving from 12.3 to 13.1. The old panel set up might be a good starting point though.
Thanks in advance for any help, and please feel free to mock and abuse me! It was my fault, I forgot to lock the screen! The cat just likes that spot 'cause it would be in between my wrists had I been at the computer.
Cheers!
Terry.
