OpenSUSE 13.1: How can I install a module via the command line? (e.g. zypper)

I want to download and install the Apache smooth streaming module from Unified Streaming.

My problem is that I cannot follow the following instructions at : http://h264.code-shop.com/trac/wiki/Mod-H264-Streaming-Apache-Version2

since I am only familiar using zypper.

It also requires the apxs2 module extension tool.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Thanks,

David

I don’t see anybody packaging apxs2 nor apache2-threaded.

well I would have issue with anything lie that also, somewhat Linux noob here.
but since i have been playing with this kind of stuff for the last year…

it looks like the instructions are for debian based distros, specifically ubuntu or Mint.

sudo apt-get install apache2-threaded-dev

1st. try installing the the module using Yast/software install
search for apx2 or apache

this might help http://doc.opensuse.org/products/draft/SLES/SLES-admin_sd_draft/cha.apache2.html

the rest of the instructions should work as is. I think they are more Linux than any particular distro related.
you can also try instructions for CentOS.

You only need to install apache2-devel which contains the Apache extension tool + devel headers and then you can proceed with the compilation.
