The controller worked well with an older machine which passed away last month. On the new machine no drives are detected. Any idea?[/size][/size][/size]

Same cables and drives from dead machine? No changes in cable positions or drive IDs? Termination in same location(s)?

Same controller, same cable, same drives, but different board: was MSI 645E Max-U SIS645DX, now is GA-MA78G-DS3H.

Got confused by controller message: “BIOS not installed!” Assumed the controller was not set up properly. However the real meaning is: “No disks found!” Checked cable connector on the PCI card and inserted it properly. Everything is now working fine.
