OpenSUSE 13.1 and Elantech

I have a Asus G750JZ with an elantech touchpad and a non-functional right button, reviewing the forums there has been discussion about this with earlier kernels in 12.3 and needing to move to a vanilla kernel to fix the problem.

I am using kernel 3.11.10-7-desktop and the right click problem still persists, the issue appears to be identified here: http://superuser.com/questions/619582/right-elantech-touchpad-button-not-working-in-linux

Can anyone suggest a fix or has one been submitted for a future kernel update ?

Thanks

Dave

Anyone who is experiencing an issue like this, it is fixed if the kernel is moved ahead from the default 3.11 in OpenSUSE 13.1.

I have installed kernel 3.14 and 3.15-rc3 and both fix the problem.

just an FYI.

Your Asus should be fully supported by the time openSUSE 13.2 is released in November 2014.
