Hi,
Just did a clean install of Opensuse 13.1 and upon searching I did not even find the opensource drivers for the ATI 3670 card.
I know there are no “official” drivers but not even opensource?
I really do not want to move away from Opensuse but if this does not work, I am afraid I might have to.

The open source driver (radeon) is included in the distribution, the package’s name is xf86-video-ati.
It is installed by default, so you don’t have to install it manually.
But, in the thread’s subject you mention “AMD/ATI Legacy Driver”.
If you meant the fglrx legacy driver, this is something completely different.
It is not open source, and it does not work at all with current Kernels and Xorg versions.
Thanks for the reply.
But with this driver (xf86-video-ati) I still feel it is not as close as was with the legact drivers.
For eg, folders in Dolphin dont look sharp around the edges. The entries in the KMenu look not so sharp.
???
You mean your display is blurred?
This could be because you are not using the display’s preferred resolution.
