Не могу разобраться с Wicd 1.7.2.4 . Устанавливал отсюда - из репо http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/utilities/openSUSE_12.3/ .
После перезагрузки требует рут пароль для установки соединения. После ввода всплывают окошки с таким содержимым.
Первая:
Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for error messages.
и после вторая:
The wicd daemon has shut down. The UI will not function properly until it is restarted.

При этом соединение установлено, но иконка показывает отсутствие сети. Вызов из меню программ Wicd происходит успешно.
Захожу в Yast → System → System Services (Runlevel) → там Wicd нет чтоб его влючать.
Далее выполняю:
§ sudo systemctl status wicd.service
§ root's password:
wicd.service - Wicd a wireless and wired network manager for Linux
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/wicd.service; disabled)
Active: inactive (dead)
CGroup: name=systemd:/system/wicd.service
При этом если удалить
rm /var/run/wicd/wicd.pid
и запустить заново
wicd-client Importing pynotify failed, notifications disabled.
