Since, perhaps, two or three days ago I get this error message when the automatic update runs:
Problem connecting to a software origin
File ‘/repodata/repomd.xml’ not found on medium
‘http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/openQA/openSUSE_12.3/ ’
When I run apper software update manually, the error message is:
There was a (possibly temporary) problem connecting to a software origins
Details:
File ‘/repodata/repomd.xml’ not found on medium
‘http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/openQA/openSUSE_12.3/ ’
I haven’t a clue where to go from here. Has anyone reported a similar error?
Hi
Because that repository doesn’t exist…
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/openQA/
If may have been the result of the SAN issues last week and not restored, or has been removed on purpose…
OK, that makes sense. A Google search indicates active development of openQA ended last year.
According to “http://en.opensuse.org/opensuse:openqa ” It looks like its used by openSUSE factory. I guess I’ll take it off my repositories list and see what else breaks.

That doesn’t sound right - where did you see this?

Jim,
Just today, not before.
Did you find a cure for this?
Ian
Upgrade your system. 12.3 is out of support, and many repos have been removed in the last days.
That openQA repo does exist for 13.1 and 13.2, but not for 12.3.
See http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/openQA/
PS: Of course half a year ago, when this thread was active, the situation was completely different…
