OpenSUSE 12.3, Pidgin Voice/Video plugin missing?

Hello All,

When I install pidgin in openSUSE 12.2, I see the Voice/Video plugin available and I’m able to setup my webcam and microphone.
But in OpenSUSE 12.3, this plugin is missing and I don’t have success with finding the solution.

How would I install this missing plugin?

zypper in pidgin*plugin*

On OpenSUSE 12.2 I get this search result, which indicates that no pidgin plugin package is installed on 12.2. Correct?

zypper se pidgin*plugin*

So, I doubt that this is the solution (I have tried installing the plugin packages that make sense).

The correct way to check installed packages is
zypper se -i pidginplugin with a -i in between

xdg-open man:zypper confirms this

Alright then, quick question, do you have the Voice and Video settings plugin available in Pidgin on OpenSUSE 12.3?

On OpenSUSE 12.2 I observe this result:

zypper se -i pidgin*plugin*
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
No packages found.

unfortunately,i don’t have pidgin installed. Do fire-up YaST and then search for “pidgin” and install the relevant plugins

I would have never thought of that :sarcastic:.
