Can one get me the download link for openSUSE 12.3 manuals’ download link as pdf (the complete book in one PDF, e.g. Security, Start-up, etc…). I was able to see the download links for the versions 12.2 and 12.1 or 13.1 but not for 12.3 (my current). Still I hope that it should not have much variation but it would be fine if I have the said.

At the bottom of the page, you’ll see a PDF option, click it, wait for a while and you’ll have the pages in PDF.

Well, thanks for the links. Actually I tried the same a day before yesterday, the downloads were not active…But now its okay.
I further wanted to clarify that all books should have almost same concepts for each version. For example, Security guide for 12.3 seems to have 170 pages which an end user can take much time to read (if he wishes to read completely)…but those all things would be equally applicable in other versions too…I guess. Thanks.

You do not need a link. Just look in the Yast package list, the books
are there.

Well, thanks for pointing this…
I tried that and it no more came in PDF format but can be read as HTML…The purpose of PDF if that even if the newer version is installed, the same book could be continued from where it was left…
(oh that’s if I get time…)
And I hope almost all the same things are applicable for each version…

That’s a good point. If you like epubs, I think you can download the
epub at the site. I didn’t look recently, but a year ago they were
available.

I have recently installed/downloaded books from YaST. For example, I installed:
opensuse-reference_en-pdf
And the same book I downloaded from activedoc.opensuse.org (that is, Reference manual for openSUSE 12.3)
Both have difference that the former (downloaded from YaST) contains more pages. Is this because the former contains more aspects of
openSUSE and is mostly version independent. To say, contains the functionality of openSUSE in general…?
Though this is not an issue, but still I am interested to know.
So please let me know about it.

I don’t know. But you are in a position to find out: open both books
side by side, and compare them… Maybe there is a bug somewhere.
