openSUSE 12.3: kdebase4-runtime and plasmoid-yawp

I’ve installed plasmoid-yawp-0.4.3-1.3.x86_64 in openSUSE 12.3 (from the Extra repository).
But the system complains that:

zypper verify
Loading repositry data...
Reading installed packages...
Problem: nothing provides kdebase4-runtime >= 4.10.1 needed by plasmoid-yawp-0.4.3-1.3.x86_64
 Solution 1: deinstallation of plasmoid-yawp-0.4.3-1.3.x86_64
Solution 2: break plasmoid-yawp-0.4.3-1.3.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

I suppose I have to wait for a new release of kdebase4-runtime … :\

You are mixing version repositories. You can update from KDE-4.10.0 to 4.10.1 with:

zypper ar http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/Release:/410/openSUSE_12.3/ KDE:Release:410-12.3
zypper mr -r KDE:Release:410-12.3
zypper dup --from KDE:Release:410-12.3

Thanks for the reply.
Actually, I installed openSUSE 12.3 and then added the Extra repository from this page:
https://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories
Now, I see that this repository
Index of /repositories/KDE:/Release:/410/openSUSE_12.3/x86_64
holds kdebase4-runtime-4.10.1-419.2.x86_64.rpm …
Does it mean that the KDE release wich comes with the standard installation is not the latest one :\ ?

That’s right. When the freeze came over the development of openSUSE 12.3 KDE 4.10 was not even released yet.
Re. the KDE:Extra repos: they have to match the KDE repo version, i.e. if you use KDE:Release:410, then you should also use KDE:Extra:KDE_Release_410_openSUSE_12.3.

Yes, KDE-4.10.1 was released only 3 days before openSUSE-12.3 was finalised… The link you have is to a directory. The repository is at:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/410/openSUSE_12.3/
The code that I provided adds that same repository, albeit directly from a major European mirror, and updates your system to KDE-4.10.1. If you keep that repository you will be able to use it for theKDE monthly updates.

O.K.
Thanks for the very useful answers …

Just for the record, though …
Will openSUSE 12.3 be updated to KDE-4.10.1 (I mean, without manually adding the repository)? :\

I don’t understand the whole thread.
I added the KDE exta repository using yast,
Then searched for yawp. the dependecies showed it needed KDE 10.1.0
I installed with no error messages and it works fine.

Nope. The distro comes as is, updates for the distro’s versions will appear in the Update repos. If you want a newer KDE, GNOME, Kernel etc. you’ll have to add repos.

I have the same issue as the OP and the answers here would sort me out, but I have one question. I am in the US so although I know I could use the European mirror it would make more sense for me to use one over here. Is there a list of mirrors that I could look at, or does anybody know of one of the west coast coast that I could use?
Thanks

If you use YaST, zypper , or aria2 and http:// then http://download.opensuse.org/… gives meta-links which will find a suitable mirror for you.
openSUSE:Mirrors - openSUSE Wiki

If you need rsync:// or are just curious (or for the rare occasions – e.g. sometimes on release days – when the meta-link provides a poor choice), there is a list of mirrors at:
