opensuse 12.2 - slim

For opensuse 12.2 installed minimal x, Slim worked when I used LXDE and then when I reinstalled with a minimal system it only is used when I boot restore of desktop or pae otherwise the login manager reverts to xdm.

What am I missing? Not a codder, be kind.

Meant booting with recovery mode.

Carlos,

Slim works fine in my 12.1 laptop installed with a minimal x system. In the one that the one with 12.2 minimal x install it doesn’t.

12.2 in booting now has a ‘recovery mode’ listed for each kernel installed. Slim in that machine will only have slim when booting from ‘recovery mode’ otherwise it reverts to xdm even though slim was choosen with yast for display.

Is this clearer, thanx.

Well there is a bug in opensuse’s slim according to bugzilla. Errrrr, … something about pam, I’m not a codder, so …
