opensuse 12.2 - slim

For opensuse 12.2 installed minimal x, Slim worked when I used LXDE and then when I reinstalled with a minimal system it only is used when I boot restore of desktop or pae otherwise the login manager reverts to xdm.

What am I missing? Not a codder, be kind.

Meant booting with recovery mode.

Carlos,

Slim works fine in my 12.1 laptop installed with a minimal x system. In the one that the one with 12.2 minimal x install it doesn’t.

12.2 in booting now has a ā€˜recovery mode’ listed for each kernel installed. Slim in that machine will only have slim when booting from ā€˜recovery mode’ otherwise it reverts to xdm even though slim was choosen with yast for display.

Is this clearer, thanx.

Well there is a bug in opensuse’s slim according to bugzilla. Errrrr, … something about pam, I’m not a codder, so …
