Dear all,
I have installed the latest opensuse 12.2 with the xfce.
The problem is that half of the windows are cut in middle without having a scroll bar to scroll down and see the rest.

your image seems to show the problem is not with openSUSE and how it
shows windows, but rather in the way Opera is rendering without offering
a scroll bar…correct?
do you have the same problem if you use (for example) Firefox. or a Xfce
file manager, or or or?
if they all have problems please tell us about your graphics card and
what driver you are using…
if the problem is only with Opera, tell us how did you install Opera?
and what version is it?
You wiill notice in that picture that a Yast Window is cut in middle and I can not see any of the ok or cancel buttons.
Regarding Opera now. IT looks like that this is the browser only causing that. After installing opensuse 12.2 through yast I searched for Opera and installed it from there.
For the graphics adapter now I have found through Yast that this is a Mobile 915 Gm controller

i guess you have (maybe) set the size of your screen to be larger than
it actually is?? and therefore the graphics set is trying to put part of
your screen below the bottom of the monitor…
STOP! read the caveat in my sig…
you might TRY to adjust your screen size…but, i have no idea how to do
that with xfce…
and, i’d strongly advise you to not do a lot of experimenting until you
find someone who can guide you…or find the xfce documentation that
explains how to adjust your resolution…
well, you might try using YaST > Security and Users > User and Group
Management to temporally add a new TestUser…and, then log out and log
back in as that TestUser…i guess if you do that you will have all
of your screen on the monitor…
if it all fits in TestUser then you pretty much know it is some video
setting you have made in xfce which has borked the view…
