OpenSuse 12.2 /3 and Commercial usage.

Hi Team / Community,

We have been using SLES 11 on our production servers and very satisfied with the performance overall. Now we plan to use OpenSUSE in production for Desktop machines.

Can the team please confirm whether we can use OpenSUSE 12.2 / 12.3 for commercial use or do we need to buy any kind of license(s) for that.

Referred this post : https://forums.opensuse.org/english/other-forums/looking-something-other-than-support/389237-opensuse-11-commercial-activty.html but still want to know is there anything changed in 12.3

You can use it
FYI the next release 13.1 will get evergreen support (long term support)

openSUSE is a community project, and as such, there’s no need for a
license to use it in any way you wish. The only restrictions I’ve ever
heard of have to do with respins not using the openSUSE trademarks - for
stuff like that, you need to contact the openSUSE board. But you’re free
to use it in whatever way you see fit otherwise - personal, commercial,
doesn’t matter.
