Opensuse 12.1 screen issue on dell laptop

Hi Guys,

I have got my new Dell laptop and installed opensuse 12.1 in it. But during the installation process and also now there seems to be an issue with the OS screen display. The screen seems to be shifted. I have provided links for the screenshot below.

Is that on the built-in display or an external monitor?

Your display issue is the same as reported via this user: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/install-boot-login/476880-opensuse-12-1-ahci-installs-split-screen.html It would be useful to know what graphics hardware your laptop has. (AFAIU, this laptop model comes with either Intel or AMD graphics). You may know this info already, or post the output from this terminal command

/usr/sbin/hwinfo --gfxcard

Don’t forget to enclose the output in

 tags for easier reading here.

It is my laptop screen. Not an external screen.

Also i have got

internal graphics : Intel HD 4000
External : 1 GB ATI Radeon 6760
