Hi,
I’m having problems using my Airlink dwl-g510 PCI card in a newly installed OpenSuse 12.1. While the LiveCDs (and Network-Installation CD) works fine, ifup fails most times to establish a connection to my wpa-psk secured network. Strange thing: Sometimes it works fine. I’m using the classical method to start the network (not using NetworkManager). If tried NetworkManager too, but it also fails often.
If the connection does not work properly, here’s the dmesg notification:
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready
wlan0: authenticate with 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (try 1)
wlan0: authenticated
wlan0: associate with 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (try 1)
wlan0: deauthenticated from 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (Reason: 6)
When the connection is working the dmesg info is:
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready
wlan0: authenticate with 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (try 1)
wlan0: authenticated
wlan0: associate with 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (try 1)
wlan0: RX AssocResp from 00:1e:2a:5d:89:92 (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=1)
wlan0: associated
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): wlan0: link becomes ready
lsmod gives the following:
rt2x00pci 14577 1 rt61pci
rt2x00lib 54582 2 rt61pci,rt2x00pci
Has anybody had the same problem?
Thanks a lot,
KptNano
