Depends on what services you’ve added to the system. 12.1 is pretty
quick, and it does include a ‘fast boot’ option with systemd (not sure if
it’s there with systemv as well) that seems pretty quick with GNOME3
(which is what’s on my systems).
Easiest way is to try it and see based on your needs in a system.
