openSuse 12.1 HP Officejet Pro L7480 kein Druck möglich

Hallo zusammen,
ich kann mit meinem Drucker aktuell keine Dokumente ausdrucken. Der Druck einer Testseite aus CUPS und auch aus dem HP Device Manager funktioniert jedoch.

frohes neues Jahr und willkommen hier im Forum,

Wieso steht im Fehlerprotokoll auch etwas von Officejet Pro K5400
(wohl vor allem da, wo offenbar etwas mit dem [HTML-?]Rendering falsch läuft) und in Deiner Überschrift das Modell HP Officejet Pro L7480 ?

Kann es sein, dass Du (oder das hp-setup ) den falschen Treiber für Deinen Drucker eingerichtet hat/hat oder Du versuchst, auf einem alten noch eingerichteten Drucker oder den Resten von dessen Druckereinrichtung zu drucken?

Das im Fehlerprotokoll Officejet Pro K5400 steht überrascht mich auch.

Ich habe bereits versucht, den Drucker neu zu installieren. Also über Yast den Drucker deinstalliert, Druckerhardware erkennen lassen und den Drucker noch mal neu installiert. Allerdings ohne Erfolg.

mein gerade/vorwiegend per WLAN über das Netzwerk (ip-Adresse=192.168.178.24) zugänglicher (und funktionierender) HP Officejet Pro L7590 (mit Duplex-Modul) sagt wohl auch nicht viel anderes:

HP Drucker würde ich immer über die Hersteller-Software mit hp-setup bzw. mit

su - -c "hp-setup"

einrichten.
Inzwischen (seit 11.3) ist meines Wissens sogar in eine kleiner Link darauf in YaST>Drucker angebracht.

Gute Erfahrungen habe ich auch mit der HP(LIP)-Fehlersuche über

hp-check -r

gemacht.

Zur Not kann man auch noch versuchen, einen HP-Drucker über CUPS - http://localhost:631/ einzurichten (da kannst Du auch noch schauen, ob nach dem Deinstallieren irgendwo noch versteckt Drucker-Geister herumwuseln…).

Hallo Martin,
das Problem saß (zumindest teilweise) vor dem Rechner.

Ich habe noch mal probiert zu drucken. Meine ersten Versuche waren immer mit einem pdf Dokument, welches ich wirklich drucken wollte. Jetzt habe ich noch mal einen Versuch mit einer Textdatei unternommen. Und siehe da: es ging!
Also die pdf Datei in eine ps Datei gewandelt und schon war sie auch druckbar. Problem liegt also an den Eigenschaften des pdf Dokuments und nicht an der Druckereinrichtung.
