Hi there.
I have been trying to get my scanner working, it seems that since upgrade to 12.1 i cant seem to get scanner working and a few other things.
can anybody help.

I’ve been using the xsane plain stuff for years, never bothered to download
that stuff. Works fine, better than with the native Windows drivers.

Not printer, scanner. But yes, once lsusb finds it.

it is detected by lsusb
tried adding it, it was listed and gave recommendations, but just wont run from the scan option.
can somebody provide me with some more help?

Yast, scanner, edit the scanner, perhaps delete current settings, select
another driver. There are three available.
I can’t give more details now, I have to go.
