Let me begin by apologizing. This is probably a remedial problem.
I have an opensuse 11 virtual machine running on a vista host. i cannot figure out how to get my bridged virtual machine (which is of the same subnet as my host) to communicate with any other clients in my workgroup.
my ultimate goal is to set up an ssh connection from my host vista workstation using putty and connect to the suse VM. i can’t do this without the name of the suse host machine resolving first.
i’ve ensured my virtual machine’s workgroup was in the same as the rest of my clients. my vm can ping the router/gateway IP but no other clients of the 192.168.1.10x range.
