I’m using virtual box since 10.3 and don’t remember any problems there.
In 11.0 (64 Bit) I don’t get any current Linux distro installed as a guest: (K/U)buntu 8.04 freeze on loading kernel, Mandriva 2008 and PCLOS 2007 hang with black or invalid screen…
What is going on there?
So far, I got Windows XP working fine, but no linux…
Does anybody succeed in running Linux actually?
I’ve not had any issues and have tried all but kubuntu. Mandriva was spot on perfect. You didn’t really say how far you got - just that it hangs -
Works for me. If the kernel requires PAE make sure you have it enabled in its Vbox config. This is true for Ubuntu server, maybe for the others too.

kubuntu 8.04 seems ok on my system.
