i’ve installed opensuse 10.3 and my screen resolution was 1024x768.
now i’ve upgraded to opensuse 11.0 and the resolution was at 800x600 tried changing it to the default but during the test the resolution stayed at 800x600.
please help
You need to supply more information about your graphics card, monitor, and desktop environment. To save several question and answer posts, maybe cut and paste contents of xorg.conf as well. Then we may be able to help you. 
thank’s for all your support but i’ve already configured it to1024x768.
when the login is prompted do not login but choose console login. then type yast and choose monitor. setup as required. WORKS. I think that there’s a bug in the kdm.
