openSUSE 11 and Conexant HSF modem

I have openSUSE 11(KDE4) and HSF modem.I have downloaded drivers for it (7.68.00.07 full) from Linuxant. Also,I’ve downloaded a patch for it(hsfpatch).I can’t compile that drivers,I only execute the patch, and when I type make install,i got:ž

make: command not found.

Has anyone another drivers(patched, rpm)? And give me the link to download KPPP.

Have you installed “make” ?

I can’t do that,beacuse I don’t have internet access.

It’s on the installation DVD

Uwe

Hello again!

Now,I installed make and kernel. Now,I execute hsfconfig.Konsole asks me where is location of my kernel.I type /lib/modules/2.6.25-1.1-default/build I think. Now it starts building drivers, but failed :(:

“Look at /tmp/hsfconfig-buildlog.txt to determine why”

Here is that txt file.

I don’t know what the patch did, but it looks to me like the original source code and the patch are trying to do two different things with the hsf modules. I’d see if it compiles and works without the patch.

If you don’t install patch, your internet speed will be slow(up to 14.4 kb/s.If you install patch, internet speed will be full(up to 56kb/s).

Hooray!

I’ve solved problem!

Download this driver and this patch, for the full 56kbps and FAX.

Now,unpack both packages and extract the patch into a folder where is driver for modem.

Here we go!

If you have HSF modem, first type

./hsfpatch

If it is HCF

./hsfpatch -c

Now, type

make install

then

hsfconfig

Country: USA

e-mail:

Licence key:

Then,open KPPP.

In Modem commands,in place of ATZ type AT&FW3+MS=V90,0,44000,52000

In Modem Device select /dev/ttySHSF0 or /dev/ttySHSF1

Also,follow this tutorial.

Good luck

This does not work for x86-64. Do I need to install the patched alsa driver from linuxant?

No way for x64 systems?
