Hey guys I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting updates. I ran the software update out of the control center when I first installed 11.4 with the gnome desktop. I ran the yast online update and got what was on there, but now it just gives me error messages, basically it’s stating it can’t connect to the repositories. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Open up a terminal session and run the command:
You can then copy and past the text into a code block you create using the advanced message text editor, like shown above, but bigger. We can look at what you have added to your repository listing. Here are some typical URL’s you may find there:
1) Packman-1 - http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/openSUSE_11.?/Essentials/ 2) Packman-2 - http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/openSUSE_11.?/Extra/ 3) Packman-3 - http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/openSUSE_11.?/Games/ 4) Packman-4 - http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/openSUSE_11.?/Multimedia/ * 5) Main Update Repository - http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.?/ 6) Main Repository - http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.?/repo/oss/ 7) Main Repository - http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.?/repo/non-oss/ 8) Debug Repository - http://download.opensuse.org/debug/distribution/11.?/repo/oss/ 9) Source Repository - http://download.opensuse.org/source/distribution/11.?/repo/oss/*
The ones shown in Italics are normally added for you when you install openSUSE. You can also try the terminal command:
LC_ALL=C zypper ve
To find any dependency problems. I would copy and past the exact error message you get, if there is one, into a message here for us to see.
Actually the whole domain is down right now, I just tried accessing it through my browser. It would be nice to know if there were any mirrors for these so we could switch if the domain never comes back up but the easy (and smart) thing to do is just wait a day and see what happens.

How would I have been able to post the comment if opensuse.org was down? Seriously dude.
The domain I am talking about is obviously the domain of the URL’s the person is having problems with and if you look at his post that is: http://packman.jacobs-university.de .
This message thread is over one year old. Your URL is incorrect for Packman. Here is one example that works: Index of /suse/openSUSE_12.1/ If you have an actual problem, then start your own problem message as nothing you do with this message is helpful to anyone.
