OpenSUSE 11.4, NVidia binary driver and weird looking gtk buttons

Hi,

After installing the binary nvidia drivers on my openSUSE 11.4, I got ugly looking gtk buttons, with some white space at the top and left part.

Does somebody know how to fix this, or where can I fill a bug report?

Thank you!

As a KDE and nVIDIA user, I think everything in GNOME looks weird, but I guess I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary when I load up GNOME. Maybe its the default font selection perhaps? Have you thought about changing them if they are not to your liking? I decided to load the SergioUI Font from Windows 7 and it looks pretty good to me so changing the font to something else might be worth a try.

Thank You,

got the same problem…

Another forum thread same problem Problems with gtk?

I made a patched version of cairo with

  • patch to fix this rendering issue
  • Ubuntu’s LCD font rendering patch
  • patch fix pdf printig speed issues

All patches from Ubuntu Natty

The same and serious problems with the speed of switching between windows :frowning:

It was pointed out to me that you can run the qt configuration utility to changes some things.

In KDE use the Run Command:

kdesu qtconfig

and in GNOME I think it would be:

gksudo qtconfig

See if the settings in this configuration can help any.

Thank You,
