opensuse 11.4 kernel update problem

Hello All, ive seemed to have run into an awesome kernel update problem. i ran yast update, and from what i can make of it, the kernel version changed from 2.6.37.6-0.9 to 2.6.37.6-0.11. When i reboot my system, it enters this horrific state. pls see picture below

personally i dont think so that now you can roll back to the old kernel as it looks like the update has got wrong and it has removed your root point now you can try to insert the installation media and try to repair it else wait for more advice :open_mouth:

Please describe your setup. Do you use LVM or RAID?

First guess is an error in the menu.lst file, followed by a kernel panic
and crash.
