OpenSUSE 11.4: how to change permissions of automounted USB stick?

How do I change file permissions of automatically mounted USB stick so that I can run truecrypt binaries from USB stick drive?

I am using truecrypt protected USB sticks in both Linux and Windows machines. Having necessary binaries on USB stick has allowed using them in any Linux or Windows machine so far. Filesystem in USB stick is vfat.

In one of my machines I now have openSUSE 11.4 with KDE 4.6, which does not allow executing binaries from USB stick. In openSUSE 11.3 this still works by default.

I have searched the web but the only ideo getting around this was to use appimage binaries, which are said to exist for Truecrpt 7.0a. This didn’t help, as I cannot make binaries executable.
