opensuse 11.4 dual monitors (VGI+DVI) - second monitor (DVI) screen on/off

My configuration:

(Monitor 1)—+(VGA)RADEON 9200Pro-RV280±-(Monitor 2)

Monitor 1 chosen resolution 1440x900 (75Hz) - primary screen (desktop icons and control balk)
Monitor 2 chosen resolution 1680x1050 (60Hz) - secondary screen
Video card is ATI Radeon 9200 Pro, RV280
Driver = xorg-x11-driver-video-radeonhd-1.3.0_20100512_80ba041-2.1.i586
Environment: opensuse 11.4, kernel = Linux version 2.6.37.6-0.7-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.5.1 20101208 [gcc-4_5-branch revision 167585] (SUSE Linux) )

Problem: The secondary screen is not stable, ON/OFF without reason. When I change the resolution to 1440x900(60Hz) which is the same as monitor 1, then this error stops.

Please give your opinion and how i can solve it.
Thank you

>:( Same issue with almost identical hardware but my monitors are identical. I have 2 computers Suse 11.3 and 10.2 the 10.2 works fine and they use a KVM. This is the reason I didn’t upgrade the 10.2. They broke this in 11.3.

Somebody has mentioned ’ Not getting full monitor resolution’ (Not getting full monitor resolution) which describes the same situation. I get no error like EDID checksum is invalid.

My Xorg.0.log contains:

I withdraw this thread. The problem is not caused by the graphic card, but by the ATEN KVM between the card and the Monitor 2

(Monitor 1)—(VGA)RADEON 9200Pro-RV280----(DVI)(KVM CS682)(DVI)–(Monitor 2)-max resolution 1680x1050

because when i disconnect the KVM,

(Monitor 1)—(VGA)RADEON 9200Pro-RV280—(Monitor 2)-max resolution 1680x1050

then the error Monitor 2 (black/normal screen) is stopped. I forward this question to the ATEN support.

Thank you for your reaction.
