OPENSUSE 11.3 XORG XBINDKEYS

After a fresh install 11.3

copy the saves .xbindkeysrc to /home/username
compiled and installed xbindkeys again

No keys working
I had to remove the keyboard definition in xorg.conf

I had to rescan all the keys because they have a DIFFERENT VALUE
That much for a new xorg !!! :wink:

The old 11.2 key definities

Keyboard is a Microsoftpro wired 500

How is it POSSIBLE that one and the same keyboard has different scan kodes between 11.2 and 11.3 ???

Can I ask, how did you rescan your keys. Also, I heard of compatibility problems of xbindkeys with compiz, did that affect you in any way? Thanks a lot.

I found the trouble wich caused the differece in keybord scan codes :wink:

In kde Country/Region / keybord Layout

activate Enable keybord layouts

I have Usa us us

Now xbindkeys work the same as in 11.2

nvm. I found xev and xbindkeys -k

xbindkeys -k i prefer because it gives the hole syntax of what has to go in .xbindkeysrc
