openSUSE 11.3 - Sierra Wireless USB 305 - no TTY assigned?

Hi

I have a Sierra Wireless USB 305 Modem that I want to use as a GSM modem (openSUSE 11.3 x64)

I plugged it in and it is detected as a USB device, but no TTY is assigned to it.

Connection Name: COSMOTE
Connect Automatically
Number: *99***1#
Username: user
Password: pass
PIN: Your PIN.
