So, I installed Open Suse and made some configs, and now I have only root and one account that could use internet…
others not…
also, when opening terminal for other users, I got message:
ERROR: ld.so: object ‘/usr/lib/libInternalSymols.so’ from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored
Adding to the above, you may explain better what you mean by “using internet”". Do you get e.g. a decent answer when you do
host www.shell.com
BTW my system gives a decent answer which I will show you to compare:
henk@boven:~> host www.shell.com
www.shell.com has address 134.146.83.23
henk@boven:~>
This answer means that my system has:
a) connection to the internet;
b) has a working connection to the DNS server world on the internet.
This works regardless of the user involved.
Now please explain us how you found out that your system does not connect to the internet, not the conclusion you jumped to, but the facts.
I’m newbie with open suse, and I really intended to move into it from windows world…
now, there’s a internet connection (web browser was unable to come to gateway)…
now, there’s another strange thing - LXTerminal is not working under oracle user, but under all other users (root and other) it’s working…
there’s no any error… I reinstalled it… but no change…
When this problem is solved, that is nice. But do not start a complete different question in this same thread. This thread is in the Network Forum and has allready a title that has no word whatsoever about your LXTerminal or Oracle. Thus Nobody knowing something about these subjects will be lured into reading it!. You must advertise your problem by putting it in the correct (sub)forum with a descriptive title. Then you will get help sooner.
