I’ve seen the appropriate page that deals with creating a LiveUSB stick with openSUSE installed on it and I see at the bottom where it tells you to do a kiwi_hybridpersistent=yes to get a persistence file created. I’ve done that and it works fine. My question is, is there any other option that I can include with kiwi_hybridpersistent=yes that will let me specify what size of persistence file to create?
So, if you use a USB Flash Drive that is larger than the ISO image saved on it (leaving free space), you no longer need to issue this command when using an openSUSE 12.1 LiveUSB. See my blog on making this here:

Thank You,
I don’t want to use openSUSE 12.1. That is why I am using openSUSE 11.3. The “GNOME” interface (and I wouldn’t even call it that) in 12.1 is too much like Ubuntu’s Unity interface and that interface SUCKS. I like the old standard traditional GNOME interface (like it is in CentOS, like it is in Fedora Core 16, like it is in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, like it is in Ubuntu Netbook 10.04). I’m the same way with Windows; I don’t like the Vista or Windows 7 or Server 2003 or Server 2008 GUI interface. I like the traditional Windows “Classic” GUI interface on XP and 2003 (and NT and Win95 and Win98, etc.) I like a nice hierarchical organized menu structure.
I’ll never understand why people answer questions with answers geared towards, why don’t you do it my way instead of the way you are trying to do it. If I wanted Ubuntu 12.1, I would have specified that in my question. What I asked was, “Is there a way to specify the size that I want the persistence file to be when I specify that I want Kiwi to create the persistence file?” If the answer is yes, then say “Yes” and tell me how to do it. If the answer is no, then simply say “No” and leave it at that. I don’t care about what can or can’t be done automatically with openSUSE 12.1. If people would just answer the question that is asked, it would make life so much easier for everyone.
> it would make life so much easier for everyone.
yep, you certainly know how to make life easy for us.

What do they say about YOU?: http://tinyurl.com/SUSEonDW
I don’t think that 11.3 supported what you want to do. I don’t recall seeing anyone make a live USB with persistent data. In fact I think 12.1 is the first to support this though it may have come in on 11.4
If you like “hierarchical organized menu structure” try KDE. It still has such and is confiurable enough you could come close to the old Gnome look and feel.
Also you do know that 11.3 is no longer supported, right??
