hello guys i jsut swtiched to opensuse from ubuntu and i was wondering if it is possible to make a backup of my system and put it on a cd. so if i mess up something i can reinstall the systeme with my current configuration. i know there i s a proggram for this called remastersys but i think it is only for ubuntu.

There are myriads of ways to make backups of (parts of) your system.
You could e.g. look at YaST > System > System backup.
There are tools like dd and tar and rsync and a lot of GUIs around them.
For simply restoring the system itself (not the user data) you could also install anew and then add the products you added later (from a list you keep with e.g. rpm -qa). Maybe faster/cleaner then a restore from some backup.
In general you must first have backup policy:
. backup for disk unusable, user data loss, …
. how often and how, total, incremental, …
. on what, other disk, other system, other mediia (of line torage)
. more
and then decide on products, etc.
