Howzit Folks?
I’ve just upgraded to KDE 4.5.2 “release 5”.
When I go into System Settings (Version 1.0) the System Cron options are all greyed out.
I’ve googled and searched the forums but cannot find a solution, what do I need to do to rectify this?
Cheers

To use the System Cron, you’d have to run the program with root permissions. Don’t login on the desktop as root , but do:
kdesu systemsettings

thanks knurpht, that did the trick.
it worked fine in 4.4 so it appears to be a bug introduced in 4.5.
cheers

I would say it was a bug in 4.4 if it worked there. The editing of the system cron should never be allowed to a user, only to root. But nice you got it sorted.

i disagree, it used to prompt for the root password if you tried to change anything, as it should imho.
