OpenSuSe 11.3 dead repo

Hi administrators,

I would like to ask if there will be any chance of keeping this repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:php:extensions/openSUSE_11.3 alive for some time until the new auto installer available for Vicidial/Vicibox that comes in OpenSuSe 12.1 flavor?

The said repo is quite important that if this request will be granted will very much appreciated of millions of Vicidial users that uses Vicibox.

thank you hoping that someone from the Opensuse administrators hear me out.

As openSUSE 11.3 is beyonf support the repos are vanishing one by one and there isn’t much change that they are resurrected.

There are places in the internet for older standard repos (OSS, nonOSS and Update), but I doubt if all those others can be found somewhere.

If you want to search, you could give it a try at ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/

Hi
You would need to ask the repository maintainers if they are willing to
do that (they need to link to the DISCONTINUED repository)

Email contact details are here;

is this Index of /repositories/server:/php/openSUSE_11.3/repodata the same with the dead one server:php:extensions_11.3 (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:php:extensions/openSUSE_11.3 ) ??

I tried pointing server:php:extensions to that repo and seems working. but what i am not sure is will this fits on 11.3 or any issue will encounter in future.

is that the same files with the dead one?

You are asking the wrong people, we are users like you. You might ask in
the packaging mail list.

update:
I emailed the repo maintainers and thankfully they approved my request and added back the dead repo. thank you very much Repo maintainers!

new issue:
i had another dead repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:vicidial/openSUSE and not sure who I email this time.

If may I ask for the OpenSuse administrator, who are the repo maintainers for that repo?

thanks in advance

All of the “home” repos are owned by the user named in the path - in this
case “vicidial” is the maintainer of that repo.

Go to the main page of these forums. Look at the second box: “other
forums”. Look in there, there is one called “announcements”. Open it, read
the recent posts…

I’m sure you do not need an exact link.
