I have an 11.2 installation running over three displays. The first display is active as /dev/ttyS0 and comes up at boot time. When I start X, the window system takes over the second and third displays in dual-head Xinerama - exactly the behaviour I want.
Problem is as X starts the text-mode display on /dev/ttyS0 blanks: I would like to prevent this happening so that I can direct output to the text display from a VGA mode app whilst running X on the other two monitors. I do not need to interact (keyboard/mouse) with the text display.
Can’t seem to find an xorg.conf option which will stop the X initiated screen blank. Any pointers much appreciated.
